Arthur D. Little (ADL) today announced that Eric Tveter has joined the company as a Senior Advisor to its TIME (Telecommunications, Technology Information, Media & Electronics) practice. As a veteran of the telecommunications industry for over 40 years, Eric brings a wealth of experience to the company, with particular expertise in the satellite, broadband and cable media sectors. He has successfully led high-profile, international telecoms and media companies in complex and highly competitive markets across Europe and America.
Eric’s most recent executive position was as CEO of Liberty Global Central Europe, overseeing the growth and turnaround of the company’s broadband and content businesses for the past 11 years. Previous senior executive roles include President and Chief Operating Officer of Telewest Global, President and Senior Vice President at Cablevision Systems Corporation, Vice President and General Manager of Time Warner Cable, and Managing Director of Cambridge Cable Communications Group. He started his career in finance, with a series of positions at US media companies.
Eric currently serves on the Board of the First National Bank of Long Island, and is a Managing Partner at ETC Ventures, a family investment and personal advisory vehicle.
Karim Taga, Managing Partner and TIME Global Practice Leader at ADL, comments: “As a seasoned media, telecom and technology executive with a proven track record in turnarounds, business integration, crisis management and start-ups, and complex international environments, Eric will undoubtedly be a major asset to ADL’s TIME team. The telecoms landscape has changed dramatically over the past 40 years and Eric has been at the forefront of managing the rapid evolution of the business, while forging new opportunities in emerging market sectors. We’re pleased to welcome him to the company.”
Eric Tveter, Senior Advisor to ADL, adds: “In my role as CEO of Liberty Global Central Europe, I have known ADL for many years and have always been impressed by their teams’ ability to approach problems from different angles and deliver thoughtful and informed advice and solutions. The technology, telecoms and media markets continue to evolve at a dizzying pace, with the digital transformation and convergence of services presenting both new challenges and opportunities. In particular, companies must strive to make their offerings as customer-centric as possible and tailored to the individual’s requirements. The age of mass media is over and instead personalized content is king. I look forward to working closely with ADL and its clients to both understand and monetize this new media environment.”
Eric holds an MBA from Rutgers University and a BS in Economics and Accounting from Long Island University, institutions he continues to support actively.
