ARTHUR D. LITTLE APPOINTS YOSHIRO MAKITA AS PARTNER IN GLOBAL FINANCIAL SERVICES PRACTICE

Arthur D. Little (ADL) today announced that Yoshiro Makita has been appointed as a Partner in the company’s global Financial Services (FS) practice. He will focus on developing strategy, transformation, and convergence opportunities in FS and insurance, helping to create new synergies between FS and other sectors. Yoshiro will be based in Sydney, Australia, and will closely work with teams in Japan/SEA, covering insurance-related projects across the Asia Pacific region, including Japan and Australia.
Yoshiro has more than 20 years of experience leading management consulting engagements for institutions across Japan, Australia, the US and Southeast Asia. He has advised and assisted insurers and other FS clients with a variety of management agendas, from business growth with new products and services, insurtech investments, digitalization, and M&A through to customer experience, operational efficiency, integration and separation, and transformation design.
Prior to joining ADL, Yoshiro led insurance management consulting practices for global management consulting firms in Japan and Australia, including KPMG, and most recently PwC. In his earlier career, he was involved in the launch of a technology start-up as a core member in Silicon Valley, where he gained first-hand experience of start-up businesses.
