Arthur D. Little, Inc. appoints Dr. Daniel J. Schellenberg to New York City-based Private Equity Practice
<p>New York, NY – 16 July 2007: Arthur D. Little, a leading global management consulting firm, has announced the appointment of Dr. Daniel J. Schellenberg as manager in the firm’s Private Equity practice. Dr. Schellenberg will be based in New York City where he will be focusing on value enhancement strategies for ADL’s private equity clients and their investment portfolios. </p>

Dr. Schellenberg has experience in the areas of performance improvement, value enhancement, and corporate restructuring. He has led and managed projects in the areas of: solar energy, automotive suppliers, consumer goods/retailers, and media companies. He formulated and implemented a performance improvement strategy for one of the largest solar cell manufacturers in the world. The new owner set goals to improve the financial performance of the company. Dr. Schellenberg along with his team of professionals was involved with every aspect of the business from sales strategies to overhead expenditures. He joins Arthur D. Little, Inc. from Droege & Comp. and was formerly employed by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.
According to Dr. Schellenberg, “The question how to generate profits in a sustainable fashion is becoming one of strategic concerns for major corporations. As the demand for energy increases, companies are seeking alternative energy sources to help lessen their dependence on oil. Dr. Daniel J. Schellenberg holds a Doctor (Dr. Rer. Pol.) in Business Administration from the University of Potsdam. He also holds a Diplom Kaufmann (equivalent to a Masters of Business Administration) from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany.
