Arthur D. Little announces the Appointment of Carlos Abad as New Managing Director in Spain
Arthur D. Little, the leading global management consultancy linking strategy, technology, and innovation, is pleased to announce that Carlos Abad has joined the firm as Managing Director of Arthur D. Little Spain.
Abad is a prominent figure in the Spanish business environment and is well-recognized as an independent consultant and advisor. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish business association (Círculo de Empresarios) where he has been heavily involved in the promotion of new business enterprises.
Abad comes to Arthur D. Little, having served as the Managing Director of Sogecable (Digital +) and as the Managing Director of Canal+ previous to this. He also worked in the consulting firm McKinsey & Co. for 11 years, where he was named Partner in the Spanish office in 1988.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and has a Master's in Business Administration from Columbia University (New York), where he was awarded a Fulbright/Banco de Bilbao internship and graduated top of his finance class in 1983.
Abad will take over from Jesús Portal, the current Managing Director of Arthur D. Little Spain, and will focus on the telecommunications, information technology, and industrial sectors within Spain and at a European level.
