Marielli Bou Harb

Marielli is a Partner based in our Beirut office. Marielli has over 15 years of industry and consulting experience, having specialized in strategy development, organization design, and policy development in the energy and environment sectors.​

During his career, Marielli has advised regional governments, ministries, and large organizations on a multitude of topics. Recently, he has focused on designing national environment strategies and policies, as well as designing, negotiating, and establishing international initiatives and organizations specializing in environmental protection and conservation. ​

Prior to joining ADL, Marielli was a senior Principal in Oliver Wyman’s Energy and Natural Resources practice, helping clients across the KSA and UAE manage their environment and sustainability strategies and policies. He also held other positions in leading industry and consulting firms across the Middle East and Europe.​

Marielli holds a Specialized Master’s Degree in Management of Energy Markets from Central-Supelec Paris, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the Lebanese University, a strategy certificate from INSEAD, and a climate and sustainability risk certificate from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). ​

Marielli is married to Elsa, and they have two daughters named Elma and Sophia. In his free time, Marielli enjoys outdoor adventures, making his own wine, and reading ancient history and philosophy.

Land degradation poses a real, increasing threat to global food and water security, biodiversity, and economic stability, with the arid and hyper-arid regions of the world facing the most acute challenges. To address this unfolding crisis, Arthur D. Little (ADL) created a robust, data-driven methodology to pinpoint technologies that can help “greenify” the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and other arid areas in a targeted, sustainable way.
