Past Experience
Bernhard Is a Principal and a member of the global Travel and Transport (T&T) Practice. Based in Dubai, he works closely with our teams covering the whole value chain in travel and tourism, with special expertise in aviation and travel distribution. He focuses on commercial and corporate strategy, customer journey and digital platforms.
Being a pilot himself, Bernhard has been involved in aviation and travel over his career in different roles, both commercial and strategic. He launched new businesses for blue chip corporates and his own tech start up. He successfully bridges the gap between business and technology. In his role as head of corporate strategy for Oman Air, he initiated and led the successful turnaround before the Corona pandemic. Since re-joining Arthur D. Little he reviewed the tourism strategy post Corona of an important tourism destination in the GCC, advised on investor negotiations in the new future mobility space and developed a novel regulatory approach to customer journey service quality, amongst others.
He earned a bachelor degree in tourism and IT, and was awarded a MBA from IESE in Barcelona.
