An engineer by background, Arindam started his career as a Field Engineer at Baker Hughes and then moved into investment banking (M&A, financing) and principal investments in the energy sector. His experience and coverage of the sector include conventional energy (oil and gas—E&P, oilfield services, midstream), utilities, and energy transition (wind, solar, CCS, hydrogen, energy storage, mobility, biomethane, and biofuels).
Arindam’s functional expertise comprises (a) business unit and corporate strategy, (b) commercial due diligence (sell side, buy side), (c) value creation and transformation (commercial, digital), and (d) valuation. He has delivered consulting engagements in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and the US.
Arindam holds an MBA from Queen’s School of Business (Canada) and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. An avid cricket and rugby fan, he enjoys traveling, hiking, visiting art galleries, and reading in his spare time. His favourite book (non-fiction) is In an Uncertain World, by Robert Rubin.
